February. Feb-bru-ar-y. I cannot believe it. We've already had a snow day and a two-hour delay for school. Here are a handful of recent outfits to celebrate snow days.
Here's the last item I got from the Loft After-Christmas sale: this cute polkadot shell. I wore it on a casual Friday to work and paired it with the pretty pink cardigan I got last year at the j.crew factory with Jamie. I wore my new favorite American Eagle bootcut jeans (I know ... I know I am in my late 30s and the people who shop at that store could be my children, but if the jeans fit, buy and wear them). The gold flats are also from the j.crew factory. The big pink beaded necklace was inherited from my ex's grandmother, who I loved dearly.
Jamie and I went to the outlets in Lancaster a couple of weeks ago, and I found a bunch of bargains! I'll be sharing them here on the blog. This printed shell and necklace are two of them. The shell was $8 from the Ann Taylor outlet (I also bought it in a nice dark steely grey). I loved how flattering it was and how I could wear it solo or under suits or sweaters. The necklace is from the Banana Republic outlet. I loved the details and couldn't pass it up. It was 40% off ... but I can't remember the price. I think it came out to be about $30 or so. I wore the shell with my wine cardigan (and oldie from the Banana Republic store) and my grey pants. The shoes are brand new and from the outlets - they're suede rounded toe pumps, which Jamie also bought and pointed out would look great with tights. Agree.
There are a handful more pieces that I picked up at the outlets ... stay tuned for them! In the meantime, stay warm!

This printed skirt is another outlet find that I got with Jamie and one that she kind of had to cajole me into buying. Ann Taylor was having a great sale when we went to the outlets. I can usually find something in the Ann Taylor outlet, but on this day all the clearance was an additional 40% off. The skirt ended up being $12 after all the price slashing and discounts. The pencil skirt silhouette is my absolute favorite and I don't have a printed one. Because of all the busy-ness in the pattern, I kept everything else simple: navy crewneck sweater (an oldie from j.crew), my new taupe patent heels from the Nine West outlet and bold gold jewelry.
See you swoon,
you are really good at photographing.
