Mid-Summer Swoon {Day 1} Guest Blogger: Hi Sugarplum!

As we mentioned on Friday, this week kicks off our Mid-Summer Swoon series.  We've asked a handful of our favorite bloggers to participate and to share with us and with you the things that are making them swoon this Summer.   We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Hello, hello...I'm Cassie, author of Hi Sugarplum, and lover of all things Summer! I was thrilled when Jamie and Shanna asked me to participate in their fun series. The only trouble I had was narrowing down what is making me Swoon this Summer!



a. Our Impending Family Beach Trip!

I love any and all beaches, and I can't wait to have my toes in the sand. But having a week away from life's distractions, with just my husband and kids, is the highlight of my year!

b. Lazy Days of Summer

I work full-time and have two kids, but even I get a break during the Summer. No soccer games, piano practice, school projects or parent meetings to make life hectic. Summer is 11 weeks of very few rules and no routine. Aaaaah!

c. Sundresses & Sandals

There is no shortage of cute sundresses and sandals this time of year, and no easier, faster way to look stylish and still beat the heat!

But let's be real. I'm a DIYer, and not much gets my pulse racing like a new project or brand new can of paint. So what I'm mostly Swooning about this Summer, is the makeover I just started on our Living Room!
