Swooning over white bridal bouquets {Part I}

I think I have made my affinity for white pretty clear: I just love it. If I could, I would wear it all the time, surround myself with white flowers in my home, and decorate with abandon using it. Practicality (and two small children and one orange cat who loves to eat flowers) gets in the way, though.

I am a sucker for the traditional all-white bridal bouquet too.  I just love the layered white-on-white look of a gorgeous white gown and a lush bouquet of white flowers.  I think there are two ways you can go with white bouquets: (1) keep to one single type of flower or (2) combine a bunch of white flowers together.  Up today are bouquets in the first category - the single type of flower.  I'll blog about the second category (the mixed white bouquets) soon.

As you can see from the pictures below, white bouquets comprised of a single type of flower are anything but boring.

Lily of the Valley
Peonies

Anemone

Babies Breath

Calla Lilies

Carnations

Hydrangea

Roses

Tulips
Love? I do.  Notice, too, that even traditionally filler flowers like carnations or babies breath are pure stunners when showcased on their own.

Which is your favorite? I love lily of the valley (it's what I carried) so that's atop my swoon list.

See you swoon,
