Swoon Worthy Style Icon: Jackie O
Happy September! And happy style-icon day! Up today is Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Full disclosure: I have always been enamored by the First Ladies. When I was a little girl, I was obsessed and used to love reading about them and coloring their inaugural ball gowns in a coloring book that my aunt bought me from the Smithsonian. Jackie Kennedy was the first First Lady to bring fashion and glamour to the White House (and would later be followed by Nancy Reagan and Michelle Obama in that regard). Jackie's style changed dramatically with her marriages: she was the picture of sophistication during her marriage to JFK and emerged as more fashion forward and modern during and after her marriage to Ari Onassis. I love it all and find so much inspiration in her life and look.
